Social Media and Search Engine Ranking

Social Media for SEO

Social Media for Marketing & SEO

The use of social media is beginning to play a very large role in search results pages, the content is more fresh and relevant because information is in real time, many people want to know How to get Insta likes so they better their accounts.  Using social media increases your networking and information sharing and garners higher rankings from quality links.

What this means for search engine optimization is that in order to be successful, the necessary skills and tactics have to grow and accommodate these mediums.  However, the focus need not be on just link building.  It is important to remember that one of the best ways to improve your search engine optimization is to become more involved in the online community.  Find your niche, increase your presence and make sure that your community feels like you are there because you care and you are not just building your brand.

As a trusted voice in these niche forums, blogs, and discussion boards, it becomes less important what you’re selling and more important that you are a constant presence.  Your bottom will see improvements because consumers will trust you, not because you’ve convinced them that your product is the best one.

The following are just a few ways in which to improve and optimize your social media:

  1. Join Facebook and LinkedIn groups:  These sites will increase your online presence and also create a way for customers to interact with you.  If a personal profile member becomes a “Fan” of your company’s page, a link to your page will appear on their profile.  Thus making you even more visible.
  2. Don’t forget your local community:  Consumer wpengine review also can be a very powerful tool.  If, for example, your restaurant has an account on Yelp, even negative comments can become positive marketing.  By responding to consumers reviews, concerns or complaints, your company is demonstrating that they care about their customers and want to please them.
  3. Add social media book-marking tools:  Make sure your website gives viewers the option to book mark your site with tools like Delicious and Digg.
  4. Combine your social media tools:  Link all of your social media accounts, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, Yelp, Flickr, make it easy for consumers to follow all of your media channels.
